so don't make him uncomfortable by paying him too much attention, better for you and him. He is your best guy friend, you wouldn't want to do something that upsets him.
I had the same problem. Never date your best guy friend. If it doesnt work there goes a good relationship. Sorry but thats what happend to me. like 5 times. Differnt guys each time.
