Casual, innocent physical contact is the way to go. If you see him walking or standing around, casually stroll up next to him and grab his arm; if you see him sitting down, playfully run your fingers through his hair. Beyond that, be your usual kind and smiley self. If he isn't the talkative type, be ready to more or less carry him through the conversation until he relaxes around you - if you expect too much conversation too quickly on his end, you might stress him out.
