hi am 23 weeks pregnant and have a low lying placenta am not feeling the baby move much i do feel him move now and again but not as much as i think i should!!! am very worried i went to the midwife last thur and she found his heartbeat fine but am still worried any advice would be helpful xxHi am 23 weeks pregnant need advice HELP!! xx?
i know your worry all to well lol! here's the deal because you are only 23 weeks and i use the term ';only'; lightly'; cause im sure you have felt like you've been preggo forever..... at 23 weeks most people do feel movement however you will feel stronger more noticeable movement as the weeks move on and you gety farther along. I wouldn't panic although that's what we do as moms. There is such thing as a kick count test. you do it at home you should drink something cold and sweet lay on your left side and you should feel at least 5 movements in 1hr and 10 in 2 hours. Some people will feel all these movements right away and others have to lay there the enitre time. It should be in a quiet place with no distractions so you can focus on the movements. good luck and congrats!Hi am 23 weeks pregnant need advice HELP!! xx?
At 23 weeks, you are not going to feel consistent movements from baby. They are still really small and have lots of room, so you are not going to feel every movement. After 25 weeks (typically sometime between 25-29 weeks) you will begin to feel the baby move more and more and then once you hit 30 weeks plus, you start to figure out baby's sleep pattern and awake times which helps for you to know how much movement you will feel per day.

If the heart rate is good and you are feeling at least 6 strong movements a day, then everything is fine.
I had a low-lying placenta when I was 18 weeks. It is actually quite common in the second trimester, it should move up when you go into your third trimester. The fact that you are 23 weeks pregnant, means that you wont feel the baby move as much. The baby is still kind of small, so he/she has plenty of room to move around. As long as you are feeling him now and then, means that everything is probably okay. When you are in your third trimester, that is when you need to begin your ';kick counts'; everyday to be sure everything is fine. Try drinking and cold glass of water or orange juice and lay on your side, that may stimulate the baby to move more.
If you're concerned bring it up at your next appointment with your midwife. But to be completely honest I wouldn't worry too much about it. Sometimes the position of the baby and placenta can cause you not to feel the baby moving so much. I am 34 weeks and I haven't felt my little boy move too much, I don't think I've ever felt the 10 count. I was told as long as I can feel him move a few times a day not to worry about it. From about 21 weeks until probably 28 weeks I would go a day or two without feeling anything at all. Now I know if I lay on my right side he'll start going for a few minutes. You'll eventually learn what makes your baby go and that helps ease your mind a lot.
I think that's around when you can really even start feeling the baby move. If she found the heartbeat then you should be fine. I would always freak out like that when I was pregnant. I would always worry he wasn't moving enough. Or that something was going on in there I couldn't help him with! If your really concerned I would ask your midwife. The further on you go you will feel your baby more. And also when you get further on you will feel your baby but since he or she is getting cramped up since they are growing you will feel it but not as often.I would always rub my belly and it seemed to make my son kick more. Good luck and don't worry hon!
If you really are worried make sure your ok theres no harm in being sure...its natural to feel worried but im sure your babys fine and congratulations ! :) ...Remember your very hormonal at a time like this so you could just be feeling more anxious than you normally would. Read the baby books its a guidline of how your baby should be progressing that way you know if there is anything you should be worrying about.

All the best for you and baby ...a new beautiful precious being added to this world awwww =]
i have a low placenta and i still feel baby kick fine and im also 23 weeks (24 on sat). i think it depends on how baby lies so if head is up then he could just be kickin the placenta which is why your not feeling him kick as much. i go through days where i feel her kick loads then suddenly i hardly feel her kick
You should start to feel it more the further on you get... I was the same, there were days were I wouldn't feel him move at all but then all of a sudden he was jumping all over the place. And the midwives told me he was very active! Don't panic, if they can find the heartbeat everything is a okay! :)
as lon gas there is movement and a good hearrt beat he should be fine but if you have doubts go get an ultra sound done dont hesitate go to the er and tell them you dont relly feel any movement so they can do an ultra sound for you and check how he is doing and also depeding on his position its harder to feel movements
1.Congrats!

2.it could be asleep

3.sometimes depending on what you eat like to much fish can effect the baby

3.same for drinks like alchohol
your low lying placenta will be the reason that you are not feeling baby as much as the placenta can be absorbing the kicks so you don't feel them as much!!
hmm to be honest dont worry your minds playin tricks on you
