To say that I'm a ';novice'; when it comes to landscaping is the understatement of the century...that is why I am seeking help from my friends in the YAHOO Answer's community! :-)
I want to place some shrubbery around my porch but I want something that is green year-round %26amp; blooms. I live in NW GA, USA.
Any ideas????
Thanks!!! :-)Landscape advice...HELP!!!?
I would recommend picking up a soil test first, us newbies should start simple and find something that actually wants to grow rather than trying to fight nature. Check your area for some of the native plants, or even circle the neighborhood. The worst looking lawns should have some shrubs that don't mind a bit of neglect now and then.Landscape advice...HELP!!!?
try bluestoneperennials.com. go to the custom plant search and you should be able to find just what you need.
Does your porch have shade most of the day (faces north)? If so, I recommend rhododendrons. They are evergreen and you can find some with white or pink blooms.
