Take classes. Go to auditions. Get a talent agent. My girlfriend needs advice on how to become a professional dancer. Can anyone help me/her?
well has your girlfriend ever taken any classe maybe ballet, jazz or lyrical? if she hasn't, ballet would definetly be the most importanat one because ballet is one thing that i promise you will need in becoming a professional dancer. i'm a dancer myself and i'm looking in that direwction and it's a lot of hard work ballet isn't exactly a walk in the park but if it's something that she has ger heart set on and she fully committed to it she can become a professional dancer. also if she is looking to be in a local dancing school or an out of state here are some schools to look up,if she has had many years of training and can do anything from fouette's to a piroette i would look at the school of american ballet, and if she has been dancing ballet since about 5 i and is an excellent dancer look at juliards but bascically you can jus go onlina and look up dancing schools in your area and find them and how to get in well i guess that's it good luck to your girl friend! My girlfriend needs advice on how to become a professional dancer. Can anyone help me/her?

formal dance training (lessons) is probably a good first step ...

Anyone at all? Maybe - somewhere.,
ask janet jackson.
Speaking strictly for ballet; she would need to receive training from a good school for ballet during the year. The one my daughter goes to instructs them in everything from form and style to nutrition. During the summers, many of the students take summer programs at other dance schools to experience dance from other perspectives. The better dance schools are usually affiliated with large dance companies( ie..NY Ballet, PA Ballet...etc). This affiliation will help when auditioning for parts.
Depeands what kind of dancing but generally you need to have years of practice in whatever disciplne you choose and then you should network and go to auditions and such. It's easier for some types of dancing, to become a professional in less time(like bellydance) and for some types it takes a long time(like ballet)
i am 10 years old and already have been a backup dancer for 50cent, chris brown, eminum, ciara, and the black eyed peas. no lie but what you have to do is let yourself go and do what you do beat which is dance!!!!
