I have a 6 month old baby and for the past couple months I have been introducing baby food to him. At first he was doing good. Now it seems like he doesn't want to eat any of the baby foods I offer him. He spits it out and cries because he is hungry so I have to give him his formula. I just need some advice about houw to get him to eat his baby food. He sees his doctor tomorrow and I am going to mention it but just not sure what to do. Thanks in advance.Need some advice/help.?
is he teething?
my daughter goes off her food a bit when she is cutting a tooth. i wouldnt worry as long as he is still taking formula
edit
also as long as he has enough normal poos and pees then id say it was fine but mention it to the dr anywayNeed some advice/help.?
He doesn't like the texture of the food and the fact that he may have to put some effort into getting it down. Formula/Breastmilk is easy to get down and the texture is smooth. Keep feeding him regular foods and cut back on the formula. He cries because he know by doing so he will get his way and get formula.
Could be teething. I have found that when my son is teething, he seems to lose his appetite and won't take baby food. He will still take the formula but I can't get him to eat solids. It usually lasts for a couple of days. At this point they don't even need the baby food. They are still getting most of their nutrition from formula or breast milk so there isn't any harm in not giving it to them for a few days.

i have this problem too. your baby is teething. what i would do is but the food in the refrigerator and let it cool so when i would give it to my son he would love how cool it felt on his gums.
also try new foods like i give him mashed patotes without butter or salt. or very soft noodles

I used these when my daughter started to refuse baby food, you see it wasn't baby food she was refusing it was the spoon. She just wasn't ready for the spoon.
They are very cheep 2 for 4 dollars at your local Walgreens pharmacy.
Give him the formula first, then the baby foods. Formula is the first part of his nutritional needs, baby foods are just getting him ready for solids when he's older.
Maybe he wants different kinds of Baby food or maybe its harder for him to digest? Idk but hope everything works out!!
Go bucks!!!
1.give him smushed up fruits
2. give him smushed up veggies
3.give him things little by little and it willwork out
Try giving him a new formula he could be sick of it
please take a look through my question history! ruby refused almost all solid food until 11 1/2 months. she literally woke up one day and started eating -- like a maniac. she is an amazing eater now. but i went crazy for 5 months. she wanted nothing to do with it. first of all, food is only for practice right now. all of your son's nutrition is from formula. second, i strongly suggest you read about baby led weaning (just google those last three words). your baby, like mine, is a perfect candidate for that approach. ruby never ever ate baby food. and, really, it is better to skip the mush all together. i don't want to cut and paste all the answers i got when i asked this same thing (at least 5 times i posted a question just like this), but you should look through my questions. and in the meantime, i promise, he will eat and eat well -- in his own time. just keep offering. hold him on your lap when you eat, let him grab stuff when he is ready. baby led weaning is the best way, for sure. good luck!
