bleh okay so i wanted to know if its okay not to take prenatal vitamins. i know alot of people take them but is it okay not to? %26amp; i'm going into my 17th week of pregnancy. i'm very excited. i also think i'm going to start to show soon. well hopefully. i can't wait. but for a first timer on pregnancy do any of you ladies like to give me some advice. it would be very much appreciated. thank you
btw, if you ask what size i am i'm about 5'4 and wear about a size 9-10Some advice %26amp; help please.?
Are you asking about not taking them because they make you nauseaous? I told my doctor that and she switched me to another type of prenatal vitamin. I now take chewable Nurta Nate, and it doesn't have nearly as bad an effect on me as the original one she gave me did. She also told me that if I couldn't handle the chewable, that I could take over the counter children's Flinstone's vitamins with iron, but that I would have to take some extra vitamins with it. Talk to your doctor about other options, but don't just stop taking them. Your baby needs the nutrients, and so do you. Some advice %26amp; help please.?
i don't have kids, can't help ya here!
Yes you should take your vitamins. Not only do u need it but so does the baby. If they make you sick take them at night before bed. Walk...I did it the whole 9 months when I was expecting all 3 of my kids and it made labor/delivery easier. Try to eat health and get plenty of rest. We even read and played music with my kids and they have all been excelled readers and love music. Good luck hope this helps
you need to take your vitamins, they prevent the baby from getting any birth defects
they help your babys development of brain and eyes. they also help you so your not always tired and they give you the nutrians you need. idk i take mine everyday. im pretty sure if you dont take yours then it wouldnt hurt. idk ask you Dr.
also congrats!!
Those vitimins are for the baby! Yes it's important you take them! Most people don't eat right in the first place and they are to make sure that no matter what you eat, the baby gets what it needs!
I didn't take my prescribed vitamins because they were too expensive, even with insurance. Instead, I bought some over the counter prenatals from wal-mart, so if cost is your reason, there are other options.
I know it is best to take the vitamins, but I didn't with my first 2 children and they came out perfectly healthy. I was younger and not as mature, and I think that's why I skipped out. I try to take one everyday with this pregnancy. I'm 16+ weeks now, myself! The best advice I can give you is to listen to your body. If you are tired, find time to rest and don't overdo it. Eat frequent, but small meals throughout the day and drink LOTS of water! Congrats to you :)
I stopped taking my vitamins because they made me sick. You may try Flintstones vitamins--they taste good and you won't feel as sick. Also, you can be excited because you should start to show soon! Every woman is different, but generally you start to get a little baby bump about 4-5 months. It will be much more noticeable around 6 months and people will know that you're pregnant! Congrats!
I will definately continue to take prenatal vitamins even though th taste is horrible especially for the first trimester. It's more preventive vitamins to make sure that some problems doesn't creep into the baby because lack of certain vitamins.
If you are not tired and got enough energy, try to do as much as you can now. ex: nursery, if you are planning on one. baby clothes....etc I found that i was too busy enjoying my pregnancy, and now that i am in a ';nesting'; mood, i am too tired to do anything, so i am totally stress out about the crib not put out, house not clean enough for the baby, hasn't wash the loads of new and hand me down baby clothes...etc, and i only have 2 months left. and i heard my energy level is only going to go down going forward.
Good luck, and enjoy your pregnancy.
Why wouldn't u want to take renatal vitamin? its not for you.... its for the baby.. it helps with the baby's development. so stop thinking of u and start think about the bay then u will answer your owe questions.
you can even by the cheap ones and folic acid is good too
well, it's not like it's a law or anything, but it's highly recommended by most physicians, so why would you not want to? It provides all the nutrition that you baby needs to grow healthy. There are tons of studies as to why this is the best thing for you AND your baby right now. You need to take them.
